Welcome to the 199th week of Julian Assange Sydney Town Hall gatherings.
We must stop allowing the narrative of truth to be steered off into the trees, by politicians and the mainstream media. One narrative of truth is that Julian Assange is completely innocent and that he and journalists like him must always be free, to allow the processes of democracy to have a chance to take place. The imprisonment of Julian Assange has the effect of stifling democratic processes. These democratic processes involve people freely accessing true information and freely and openly debating that information. We shouldn’t allow governments and corporations to work together to stifle and eliminate the processes that are vital for true democracy. We need to keep to narratives of truth! Narratives that nurture humanity are based on the truth!
Governments and corporations love to give us the impression they are working for us, but that is part of how they are able to manipulate us into letting down our guard! Through the collaboration of governments and corporations, new technologies are being exploited to allow the richest, most powerful people on earth, to control the rest of us, without our say and without due respect for human rights. They tell us these new technologies will give us greater levels of safety and convenience. A system that rewards those who hold power at the expense of the general public might be convenient, but it is far from safe.
We are all in a race against time. New technologies have the potential to give absolute control to whoever controls those technologies! We have the potential to hold governments to account, but we must first be awake. We need to realise that we have the power to change the system, so that it works for everyone. Meaningful change will come when we are aware of basic truths and have the capacity to demonstrate our unity! Our unity is the key, and it involves us having the ability to hold on to narratives of truth!
The oligarchs who run everything, are masters of manipulation and many of our politicians are nothing but useful idiots. Those useful idiots do not dare to deviate greatly from opinions that support the status quo. Some of our politicians say that Julian Assange should be free but none of them shows support for a grass roots movement to unite and free him. There is no rational way out of this plain truth. We should not allow ourselves to be strung along by narratives that suggest we need to wait for justice to take its course, or for a US presidential pardon, or for a favourable plea deal, or for the dropping of charges, or for the outcome of a meeting of politicians. These time-delaying distractions allow Julian’s health to further decline and offer multiple opportunities for narrative control on behalf of the masters of manipulation.
The undeniable truth is that Julian Assange deserves unconditional freedom and he needs it immediately. We should not settle for anything less. All people must be free to publish public-interest information.
For thirteen years Julian has been persecuted. During that time, governments and the mainstream media have had numerous opportunities to do something to end Julian’s persecution but haven’t. We must step up to the plate! We must put an end to the political persecution of Julian Assange by demonstrating our unity. Our unity is the key! Our unity is possible! Our unity depends on all of us! By freeing Julian Assange through demonstrating our unity, we will usher in a new era, in which there will be true democracy. We must hold onto that vision!
Our governments and the mainstream media have revealed they are NOT fit for purpose by their collective persecution of Julian Assange. Many people are afraid to speak up, in case they are also persecuted in some way. We must ALL speak up to solve this problem! The courage to speak up comes to those who fully realise the truth! Every public-interest truth we speak is a victory for humanity and a defeat for those who are attempting to control humanity. When we express our truth, we demonstrate our power! Truth is our power! Julian Assange should be free! Stand with us! Help free Julian Assange!
