Welcome to the 210th week of Julian Assange Sydney Town Hall gatherings.
It is now more than four years since we saw the first weekly gathering at Sydney Town Hall, which was organised to free Julian Assange from his legal and torturous imprisonment, at HMP Belmarsh, in the UK.
During those four years, we have worked to raise relevant public awareness, but the hard reality is that the brutish treatment of Julian continues.
The combined actions of many Australian people, most probably contributed to Albo promising to employ quiet diplomacy to bring Julian’s case to a close, but in reality, our Prime Minister has failed to do anything to materially help Julian, despite having the power to do so. We must never allow ourselves to be strung along by politicians who have a track record of delivering false hope.
Julian is completely innocent and his imprisonment is completely unjust. Every decent living and breathing human being, who knows the truth, knows Julian’s treatment is both unjust and barbaric. Mainstream narratives mostly ignore Julian and his magnificent contribution to the knowledge of ordinary people all over the world. On the rare occasions, Julian is deemed newsworthy, he is falsely smeared. We are increasingly sceptical of anything that appears in the mainstream media, but mainstream narratives still keep the majority of people under the control of corrupt government.
If we wish to live in a just and peaceful world, we need to be positive and control our own narrative. We need to come up with ways to better communicate the truth so that we can all work on making the world a better place for everyone.
If people work to control the narrative, whistle blowers will be treated as the heroes they are and Julian Assange will be widely respected as the magnificent journalist he truly is.
We all need to realise that the case of Julian Assange is not just about Julian’s freedom, it is about our ability to overcome corruption and free ourselves. We must be free and brave in our own minds to realise that we have what it takes to make the world a better place. We each need to realise that truth doesn’t depend on the opinions of anyone other than ourselves. We are the ones who need to investigate available evidence, so that we can determine what is true and what is not true. If democracy is to have any value, collective decisions need to be based on our individual abilities to determine the truth for ourselves.
Being told something many times doesn’t make it true. In fact, repetitive propaganda is a sign that we are being lied to. There is no point in listening to lies, other than to know what lies are being told.
We must use evidence and facts to create the foundations of the world we all want to live in.
We need to unite with other people who share the goal of being truthfully informed! We need to share our truth, so that we can all realise the fundamentals of being human. Truth is our power! Help free Julian Assange! We are all Julian Assange.
Free, free Julian Assange!
Free, free Julian Assange!
Free, free Julian Assange!
